This Saturday, May 18 I've attended the first solo concert of an amazing Ukrainian group THE HARDKISS in Kyiv. Can't say the group is well known here but still it has own fans and we are really proud of having such musical product. For sure, they deserve worldwide fame (and it'll happen soon I hope).
Firstly, I must admit the longest queue I've ever seen - the colorful crowd has been feeding hungry mosquitoes (the summer is near, guys) and waiting to enter the 'Green Theater' club. And at last we're in: tasty cocktails, nice DJ set and positive characters around us have made the evening better.
After waiting only 1.5 hour (!) the loud mob welcomes 'dark army' of the queen - Julia Sanina. Fantastic visuals on the huge screen, magical sound effects and luminous heart on the vocalist's chest - all that have taken us to the mystical atmosphere of inspiring music.
During all the concert we've been singing most of THE HARDKISS songs (well, yes, people know lyrics by heart), jumping and putting hands in the air. The drive was impossible, the sound was beating in our ears and hearts. The group has presented the brand new music video 'In Love' and I can claim: everyone's fallen in love with it, as well as with the queen of the night. The front woman Julia Sanina's costumes and make-up were astonishing, her looks were enhancing the power of her voice and energy.
THE HARDKISS has given us all they've got! But the fans didn't want to let them go, screaming 'HARDKISS, HARDKISS, HARDKISS!' And again we're singing all together 'Make-Up'...
Oh, well, impressions are streaming! Thanks for the evening, for the inspiration, for THE HARDKISS contribution to Ukrainian show business. Now we know it is possible to add our national folk tunes in the alternative music and stay fresh.
