Gorgon City: Love From The First Sound

Thanks God for the people I meet in my life. One close friend of mine has shared a music track with me. No need to say that the track was by some unknown guys called Gorgon City. And the track was so meaningful for me ("Real" feat Yasmin - watch below). That's how I've become addicted to this magic music.

After couple month spent waiting for the fresh tracks and mixes from Gorgon City, I've discovered they're gonna perform in London, UK. And my happiness was endless. I had my UK visa, bargained about vacation with my lady boss. So the luggage was packed, tickets purchased and my London adventure started.

At the day, I've arrived to Electric Brixton. What a nice place: poshy theatre, filled with energy and inspiration! The performance was awesome! All the crowd moving in the global wave. Sound was everywhere, in the each body cell...

At the moment Gorgon City is becoming more and more popular, so I'm proud having seen their show in Lo this year.

Here is my personal pick of the best Gorgon City tracks:

And some videos from Gorgon City show in London, UK (April 2014).

Defected In The House Radio - 18.08.14 'Sonny Fodera Takeover' - Guest Mix Noir

Hey gang!

I've decided to share the best music I'm listening every day with you. Hopefully you'll follow updates in this blog and open up the new source of inspiration.

So here is the fresh mix (August 18th) by Sonny Fodera (London, UK) for Defected In The House Radio. What I love about this piece: the choice of the best summer'14 tracks, massive sound and the mood it gives to me.

Recommended for listening in the car (necessarily open all windows and make sure you've squeezed the subwoofer to the loudest)!

P.S. Track list inside.

Nuweiba Pradise (Photos)

Spring has come. At last. What can be better than snowy April! Yeah, that's the time to plan your vacations. The first wish - to appear in the warm exotic place. Better with the sea (or mountains?). Golden sand and turquoise waves, tender sun and gentle wind, silence and... silence... - that's my perfect vacation menu. The second wish - not to spend whole entire fortune for some days in "nirvana". I remember the place in Egypt can become the best shelter for city dwellers.

Nuweiba. That's our destination. It is a coastal town in the eastern part of Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, sandwiched between the Sinai mountains and the Gulf of Aqaba, and is located some 150 km north of Sharm el Sheikh, 465 km southeast from Cairo and 70 km south of the Israel–Egypt border separating Taba and Eilat.

Must See & Listen: Tina Karol - "Nizhno" ("Gently")

Can't be silent any more. That's the most touching and impressive song and video I've seen lately. The song is playing again and again in my headphones during some days. So I must share it with everybody.

Tina Karol has changed my mind about her couple of times. At first I was surprised by her participation in "New Wave" contest in Jurmala and amazing show (even with broken microphone!).

Crazy Bell-Ringers Have Brought French Spring to Kyiv (Photos)

My friends and me have decided to go to announced show "Crazy Bell-Ringers". But it was not so easy to make: transport couldn't move from the wave of people wanting to appear on Sofiya Square in the center of Kyiv. Though it was cold, many viewers were waiting for the start. Every meter on the square was occupied.
At last something started. Yeah, something. Nobody understood what is happening. Funny actors were dancing, screaming, drumming... But nobody from far away couldn't realize the idea of the acting.
"They had to do something with the sound, don't hear what they are saying", - grumbled a woman.

Spring is the best time to discover your native city over and over again. Kyiv is unique historical and modern place. Where can you see such a mix: inspiring new monuments by young artists on the ancient hills?!
Rainy day has become sunny and full of happiness here. That's the hidden alley where you feel like in wonderland with fairy-tale heroes, magic creatures and special shelters.
Change your reality, visit Kyiv (Ukraine)!

My First Page

P. S. The first words were written in my native language - Ukrainian. Love the language and respect it so much. I haven't already decided which language I'll use for writing in the future, but for now the inspiration comes in Ukrainian. :)

Listening To The Sea

Sunny beach. Azure sea. The arches of palm trees belly dancing with the music of the wind.
Whisper of waves reveals the secrets of life. I would like to record all the wisdom, but don't want to mess around with paper and pen. I am writing in the sand. A warm and pliable sand agrees with everything that I paint on his body.
A minute. Two. Three. And the cold impartial guest-wave picks up my creations in the abyss of the sea. Only a moment ago it seemed to me that the answers to eternal questions were all in my pocket.
And now I'm here alone again. On the sunny beach. I'm watching the intricate dance of palm trees, listening to the sea...

21st Century Traktor

Ha-ha-ha! Greetings to all my readers from post-soviet countries. First of all I was surprised by the name of the song, but then I've liked the beat and rhythm, the girl dancer in the video. Interesting composition, inspires me for months.

My New Moleskine ®

At last I've got my next Moleskine ® notebook. This time I've chosen the one from the limited edition 'Peanuts'.
My lovely cat liked the new notebook as much as me!
What a wonderful and inspiring words were waiting for me inside!
'You should start each day with a song in your heart, a gleam in your eye and peace in your soul!' - Lucy.
So now The Inspiration Book is waiting for me, for the first pen lines on the clean pages, for the first words and thoughts, for the new discoveries!

Ukrainian Cuckoo - Mila Nitich

Though staying in Cairo, Egypt, I am still interested in my native Ukrainian music life. And these days we're having very popular show "Golos Krainy" ("The Voice of The Country"). Professional and famous coaches are trying to find the best vocalist in Ukraine.
Yesterday was the second live show. Thanks to 3Greporter millions of Internet users were able to watch the show on-line.
And the first performer was Mila Nitich famous from "New Wave" contest in Jurmala, Latvia. I highly recommend everybody to check out the video, that's the real first class. I just love Ukrainian songs adapted to our times, to the modern audience. Performed by such an amazing vocalist, charismatic and talented girl, folk song becomes the true masterpiece.
Frankly I'm proud to be the part of my nation.
Thanks, Mila!

The Legend of Sade

She is the unique and the only one.
She can't be compared with anybody else.
She can't be forgotten.
She is the live legend.
- SADE!

Once heard, her music will never leave your heart and brain. The music style is golden - through the years keeping the quality. Always fresh and legendary, Sade doesn't need extraordinary solutions for her performances, the sound and charisma are quite enough. Ah, and sure - the LOVE. The love to her fans and audience. Sade is getting hundred times more love back!

Opening Alex Clare

Alex Claire is a great opening for me. 'Too Close' was the first Clare's song for me to hear (and watch) on MTV Arabia.
Love the style of this composition, this rhythm and atmosphere in general. Depeche Mode, Moby, what else can we notice in the sound?.. To speak about Alex's voice, I feel Andriy Hlyvnyuk from Ukrainian funky-groove band 'Boombox'.
Frankly don't understand the sense of the video, anyway it's enough to listen to the song and look at Alex's performance!

Willow - My New Superstar Idol Kid

Just can't keep my hands off of writing about the prodigy girl.
Willow Smith (born October 31, 2000) - the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is an actress and one of the hottest uprising stars in the showbiz. The girl will burn all world charts. Undoubtedly she'll blow up music industry and turn it's way by her willing. She is now dreaming to work with Lady Gaga and Jay-Z. But wait a little and maybe we'll see them asking Willow for a signature...
Ah, and be sure that the genius's song 'Whip My Hair' will be bumping in my headphones for a quite long time!

P. S. Thanks my favorite from childhood Will Smith for such a star!

Girls Run The World!

I've just watched the new amazing video by Beyoncé!
This strong woman-warrior inspires me so much: with her every sound, every movement, every glance! And her every song makes me think. So now, isn't it true that girls rule the world? All famous men were being moved by their beloved women.
Don't ever forget about this eternal wisdom of being a foxy neck for your man-head...

Traveler's Notes

Once again I've realized that I can't call my life full without writing.
But since I was a kid and started scratching my first sentences the main problem was to decide the topic and aim of the composition. If you describe something you must be really in it.
So now I've made up my mind - I'll be telling you about life in Egypt, about places, people, culture, traditions. Hope it'll be useful and interesting as well as inspiring!
And now, let's do it! Yalla (in Arabic)!
